I don’t know if it was because I was raised in a Christian home, a southern home, or from just the societal norms of being a woman that has led me to have an instinctive reaction to be friendly. Maybe it’s just part of who I am as a person. The age old: nature versus nurture debate. Regardless of the reason, sometimes it plain sucks. First, I want to say this is another vulnerable moment where I will share some personal experiences I don’t often discuss. However, I believe this is an important piece for me to write. I hope to influence people to have compassion and consider others’ perspectives before judging from their own perceptions. I hope to yield positive and constructive revelations as I share one more reason why proper cabeceo is so important. And the reason will come as a surprise.

By nature, I am a people pleaser. I have always had a hard time saying no to people…

Logic ruled the household and my father was known to say “Spock is my inspiration, we should strive to be more like him; no emotions yield the best decisions.” Although that was often said as a joke, it still had its weight in truth. I went to school for accounting, a numbers girl, where logic is at the core. I’ve…

I'm an accountant by day and an argentine tango dancer by night. Please enjoy excerpts from my journey in the social tango world and my other life experiences
